Client Challenge
Most prayer-time apps depend on a live internet connection, bury users in ads mid-worship, or demand account sign-ups before showing a single time. Muslims in Pakistan — and across the global diaspora — needed something they could trust anywhere: accurate prayer times for their exact city, a reliable Qibla direction that works in a basement mosque, a gentle Azan at the right moment, and access to the Quran, Tasbih, and the 99 Names — all without a signal, a login, or a subscription.
Engineered Solution
NamazWaqt is a 100% offline Islamic companion. Prayer times are computed on-device from GPS using five calculation methods (Karachi, MWL, ISNA, Egyptian and more), displayed alongside a Hijri/Gregorian calendar, monthly timetable, and a live countdown to the next prayer. A sensor-driven Qibla compass points to the Kaaba in real time with exact degrees, cardinal direction, and distance from Mecca. Three Azan voices (Standard, Fajr with Assalatu Khairun Minan Nawm, and Masjid al-Haram Makkah) fire automatically at every prayer time — even when the app is closed. The complete 114 Surahs ship offline in Arabic with English and Urdu translations, adjustable font size, and bookmarks. A haptic Tasbih counter cycles through the dhikr set with a gold progress ring, while the 99 Names of Allah are searchable by Arabic, English, or meaning. A Hijri date calculator converts any date and counts down to Ramadan, Eid, Laylat al-Qadr, and other Islamic occasions — all in a calm dark green and gold design with full Urdu support and zero registration.
